31st Annual Women’s Symphony League Holiday Home Tour is presented by Commerce Bank, and also supported by House of Brokers and Stephanie Wilmsmeyer State Farm. All proceeds go to the Missouri Symphony Society Hot Summer Nights Festival and the Missouri Symphony Society Conservatory with over 150 youth in the orchestra and choir.
In addition to seeing unique and beautiful homes, you can obtain ideas for decorating your own home or just enjoy the tour and get in the holiday mood.

Friday, December 5th, noon – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 6th, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 7th, noon – 3:00 p.m.
All homes are located on the east side of town within a few minutes’ drive of each other.
The Ronald McDonald ® House, decorated by Tiger Gallery where volunteer docents will explain the program. There will be a bake sale on Saturday (with 50% of the proceeds going to Ronald McDonald ® House and a raffle for choice of quilts).
There are two homes in Old Hawthorne: Jo Ann and Chuck Wilson have a beautiful villa on the golf course. It will be decorated for the holidays by S Stewart Home. It has an oriental flair to the decorating and beautiful chandeliers. Also in Old Hawthorne, the Mary and Scott Hofferber home, with outstanding woodworking and a marvelous kitchen. Mary’s sister is an interior designer and will be doing the holiday decorations.
Further east on Broadway (WW), is the Traci Busenbark and John Best Home. Traci who is an interior designer and owner of Busenbark Carpet has a home full of beautiful granite and carpets. They have a fitness center and theater room. As an interior designer, Traci will be doing her own holiday decorations.
The last home on the tour is owned by Danyale and Lee Williams. They were featured on HGTV’s House Hunters. Since they are both from Texas, their home will feature a Lone Star décor and decorations will be provided by Sherry Hockman interiors.
A holiday concert featuring a variety of festive music for the season with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, the Missouri Symphony Childrens Chorus, the Columbia Chorale and special guest, renowned soprano Teresa Gomez. A special guest from the North Pole will also make an appearance! This concert benefits the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tots program. Free admission for children and students who bring a new, unwrapped toy to put under the Symphony Tree.
Plowman Chamber Music Competition is a biennial event, which takes place on odd number years. The 7th Plowman Competition will be held on March 19-22, 2015 in Columbia, Missouri.
Co-presented by First Baptist Church in Columbia, the MU School of Music, Missouri Symphony Society and Odyssey Chamber Music Series, 2015 Plowman Competition is a 4-day Festival, featuring master classes and a solo recital by internationally acclaimed guests and musicians, including pianist Sergei Babayan (recital, March 19), bassoonist Frank Morelli, and violinist Paul Biss.
