About Missouri Symphony Society
Maestro Kirk Trevor announces the exciting 2016 Hot Summer Nights Music Festival with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra. The festival will feature 24 concerts in 38 days with the wonderful music of the orchestra and such talented soloists as Pianist Kyle Orth, Lysander Piano Trio, and the new Hot Summer Night Festival Resident Opera Artists. In addition for 2016 Pops Series, the orchestra is joined by Missouri Contemporary Ballet, Ben Vereen, and The Music of Led Zeppelin.
The Missouri Symphony Society is dedicated to enhancing and increasing the cultural awareness of classical music in the mid-Missouri region through high caliber performances by the fully professional Missouri Symphony Orchestra and guest artists, and also encouraging and educating young musicians through the Missouri Symphony Conservatory, an educational program that nurtures the inner musician in each of its more than 120 instrumental and choral students.
Through donations and sponsorships, the Society presents the annual Hot Summer Nights Music Festival, performing more than twenty concerts during the Festival’s six weeks, featuring spectacular performances by the Missouri Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Missouri Symphony Orchestra Music Director Kirk Trevor and an array of international artists in different genres. Our Hot Summer Nights Festival offers great music ranging from Beethoven to Bernstein, from Broadway to classic rock – all for affordable prices.
