The Missouri Symphony Society is dedicated to enhancing and increasing the cultural awareness of classical music in the mid-Missouri region through high caliber performances by the fully professional Missouri Symphony Orchestra and guest artists, and also encouraging and educating young musicians through the Missouri Symphony Conservatory, an educational program that nurtures the inner musician in each of its more than 120 instrumental and choral students.
This is a fast paced job, requiring flexibility, physical endurance, and a good sense of humor. Must be agreeable to irregular hours and have a willingness to jump in to help when needed.
This internship can be a rewarding position for someone who wants non-profit experience, and offers a real chance to work with a professional orchestra and to be involved with festival management. The position will begin late May and end July 20. The position is not paid.
